And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16: 17-18
They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. I want to shake your theology just a little bit. Keep your rocks in your pocket until I’ve said everything I’m going to say. There is no scriptural basis for believers to lay hands upon believers.
There is none. Why? Because laying hands on the sick is for them to recover. For them to recover is a sign and wonder. The Bible says signs and wonders do what? Follow. They follow. Signs and wonders follow us. So, this scripture is for the believing believer to lay hands on the lost sick for them to recover.
