This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.

Joshua 1:8

This book of the law, meaning the scriptures, the written scriptures, shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night so that you may observe to do according to all that is written within it.

Then what? When you have done that, when you’ve meditated, day and night. And you’ve done what you’ve meditated on, THEN your way will be prosperous, and THEN you will have good success. Well, that’s a sweet reward. Don’t you want that? Do you want to be prosperous?

Are you signing up for prosperity? What about signing up for good success? If you need that in your life, this is the way to get it. The way to get prosperity and success is to meditate.

That word meditate in the Hebrew actually breaks down to chewing your food so that it’ll digest properly. That’s what it means. Spend some time on it. Sometimes I’ll meditate on just a verse or two. Four or five in a day is usually a maximum for me. And, I will just chew on them. And chew on them. And chew on them. Then I’ll think about them. After which, I’ll ask the Holy Spirit during the day, what does that mean?

What does that mean to me? What is that? How does that apply? How do I make that work for me? Because you want the Word to be alive in you and to make a difference in your life. So if you’re going to learn how to identify your spirit so that you can listen from your spirit, you’re going to be hungry for God.

That means reading your word and not just speed reading.
