Mary was highly favored, she was blessed, and was anointed to carry the Christ child.
But we tend to overlook that Joseph had just as much to do with this child and his early upbringing as Mary did. It’s really important that we see that God sometimes will use us and keep us almost completely hidden.
Joseph was almost completely hidden, overlooked. Not one word that he ever said is recorded in the Bible. He just did what he was called to do. He just went through life and did what he was anointed to do, and expected by God to do, and doesn’t get too much hurrah.
What will be Joseph’s reward and glory? The last shall be first. It shall be glorious for him.
I want to encourage you. If you feel like you’re a little hidden, and you’re doing what you know you’re supposed to be doing. That God’s given you something special to do, and it’s just not rising to the top, and nobody’s really noticing, or paying attention; I want you to remember Joseph. I want you to remember that Joseph just kept on. He just continued doing exactly what he was supposed to do.
Don’t think for a moment, that if nobody’s paid any attention to you, or given you any due for what you’re doing in the kingdom. that God doesn’t know. God watches, and He’s the one that’s keeping record. He’s the one that is going to ultimately reward you, much greater than any man ever could. God the Father is the one that’s going to be sure that you are rewarded justly for what you’re doing. He’s not going to overlook you, He has never overlooked you, and He’s not going to do it now.
