Who is Jesus to You?
Jesus asked His disciples that question.
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Matthew 16:15
This is the most important question that had ever been asked of mankind. It is a question of Eternal Significance. Jesus asked this because He wanted the disciples to ponder their faith in Him. We must all answer this eternal question.
All four of the Gospels either ask or seek to answer this question. Matthew, Mark and Luke all ask this question, and the entire Book of John is to answer the question.
Your answer to Jesus’ question will affect how you believe. There are countless people who see Jesus as a miracle worker, or a great prophet, or as a good moral teacher, but none of that alone is sufficient. Based on a partial understanding of Jesus, countless false religious have been created, people have been led astray, and sadly many are eternally lost because they did not truly know the real Jesus.
During this Christmas season, I encourage you to keep the main thing, the main thing and ask and answer Jesus’ question for yourself. Who do you say that Jesus is? Who is Jesus to you?
