If your right hand makes you stumble and leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Matthew 5:30

You need to be aware of those you allow to influence you. Who are you listening to and where is your perspective coming from? Just because someone tells you something doesn’t mean that is God’s Word for you. Be careful. Each and every circumstance will bring out comments and thoughts. Jesus wants you to come to Him, the source of truth, before you go down the wrong path and get a wrong understanding.

Some things may require a little research to learn the background and truth of something or an organization. Don’t take someone else’s word for it, if they are not following Jesus. You do the work; seek and find. Be careful of all those voices outside trying to penetrate what you know to be God’s Truth. Stand firm and don’t give in.

There is a reason God desires you to be with like-minded in faith; spirit to spirit you will know and encourage one another. If those who are not in Jesus push you and you allow it, it will be harder for you to dig yourself out. Open your eyes and see as Jesus sees and choose wisely. The wrong people you allow into your life will cause you to go down a road that you may not turn-around from. Cutting them out of your life may be hard, but eternity matters most.
