Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).
Proverbs 19:21
Where are you putting your trust and confidence? Is it in God’s faithfulness? Or is your trust in something else, like a steady paycheck, or another person instead of Christ? Christ is calling us out to reflect on this and to draw us closer to Himself. He doesn’t want anything to come between us, and even desires us to go into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. A relationship that leaves no doubt, one of complete and undeniable trust.
This type of relationship is where faith will grow. However, for this to happen, we must let go of those insecurities that we want to clutch close to us. Christ defies all logic. We cannot think ourselves through some of these things. We must stop trying so hard to change situations and just Christ work on our behalf. He completely understands how difficult it is to seem like you’re not doing anything to change your circumstance. But, if you continue to dive deeper in Christ, and come to Him more often, He assures us, that we are doing something.
So, come closer to Christ, draw upon His strength and know that He is working on our behalf. Allow your plans to leave room for Christ to work. Be sensitive to when He is speaking and listen intently. HE WILL fulfill His purpose for you.
