The house rules.
When you were rearing your children or when you were being brought up yourself in a family, there were rules in your house. You knew the rules. Your children knew the rules and they knew what to do, what to say, when to do it and how to say it. You taught them well and you were taught well as a child. You had house rules and there were consequences if you didn’t follow the rules.
There are some house rules that are really, really important for all of us.
I’m sure you probably as well as your children probably came to a point at some time when the rules just weren’t what they wanted to abide by. And so you heard the national anthem of all preteens and teenagers everywhere is, “but everybody is doing it and I will be the only one…”
