The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
John 10:10
The thief comes in many forms, some subtle and some not so subtle. He is relentless as he tries to get you sidetracked and distracted so that you don’t push forward toward the assignment God has chosen you for. And, when you’re down, he doesn’t stop and let up, he wants you knocked out for good. We need to understand this, and we need to be prepared for it. We need to have our eyes opened to see clearly and recognize this for what it is. It’s the enemy’s last ditch effort to push you so far over the edge that you start questioning everything. He wants you to start doubting, to the point that you aren’t even sure that you are hearing for God, or ever really did.
Don’t give up! Press in, harder and deeper than ever before. Remember that you are loved and you are needed. Christ is right here with us, reaching out His Hand for us to take hold so He can pull us up and out of the pit that the enemy has pushed us into. Don’t despair, but keep stepping forward hand in hand with Christ. Even though we cannot see what’s coming,, know that Christ can, and it’s glorious! It’s more than we could have ever hoped or imagined.
