“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:12

Excuse me. And greater works than these shall he do because I go to my father. What a wonderful promise! That’s an amazing promise! I have focused on the greater works, and I want the greater works. You should too.

We’re moving forward plowing in for the greater works, but we should be doing the same works. What did Jesus do? He healed the sick, cleansed the leper, raised the dead, He opened blind eyes, He opened deaf ears, and on and on.

The Bible says we should do those same things. I don’t think we need to be too concerned about the greater things until we get the same things down pat. Because we are not even doing the same things. I am just the same as you, and am just as guilty. I have walked into situations, seeing great need and walking away with that need being unmet.

My heart will cry out, determined to do something. I’ll want to have a word of the Lord or a direction. My heart’s right, but I’m just not hitting on all cylinders. I know that’s not God’s plan. It’s not His plan for you, and it’s not His plan for me. He is looking for us to be salt and light.

God is looking for us to be what He created us to be. It is extremely important that we step over into this. Jesus said that signs and wonders would follow those who believe. I believe. Do you believe?
