Spiritual Maturity Series Part 14
The Holy Spirit resides in your human spirit and He communicates to you through your spirit. Jesus said in John 14:23,
…If a man loves Me, he will keep My words and My Father will love him and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:23
In this passage of scripture Jesus is talking about the coming of the Holy Spirit. Where does He take up residence in your life? The Holy Spirit is not in your mind; He is in your spirit and it is your spirit-man’s responsibility to influence your human intellect. Your spirit-man picks up the communication from the Holy Spirit and passes it on to your natural understanding by way of an inner witness.
People call this understanding all kinds of things. Before I understood what I was operating in, I attributed those “knowings” I would receive from God as a gut feeling or intuition. Sounded good to me and that’s what I called it. Many of you are doing this same thing. You are receiving Divine instruction from the Holy Spirit and are throwing it on a back shelf somewhere, doing nothing with it because you think it’s just a “gut feeling”.
