How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide your face from me? How long must I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy exalt himself and triumph over me?
Psalm 13:1-2
The enemy of this world is real. He is alive and thriving, taking as much as he can while he can. We need to keep our eyes focused on Christ and not our situations and circumstances. The enemy is attempting to take you away from your calling, to get you side-tracked so you think you won’t have the same impact that you may have once had. Don’t listen to the lies. The enemy comes in order to steal, kill and destroy. Recognize him for what he is and strengthen your armor… prepare for the fight and stay in God’s Word.
Christ has not hidden himself from us, He is here with us, growing us into who we need to be. So, stand firm and stand strong, remembering that we are God’s children and He has given us authority over all of this. We need to recognize the enemy and his tactics. Know this, when he comes at us like this, it’s because he’s afraid. He’s afraid of our power and influence, he’s afraid of who he knows that we are to be. He’s afraid that we’ll fulfill the calling that God has placed before us.
So, press on. Christ is right here with us for each step we take. We must remember how much we are loved and not forgotten.
