I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path.
Psalm 40:1-2
Sometimes you need to stop right where you are and not move. Stop and look around at where you are. Are you where you want to be? Are you where Christ intended you to be? Christ has not moved or changed… He is still here with you. Christ will never leave you or forsake you. Too often we rely on ourselves and our own abilities instead of relying on Christ and trusting in Him.
Stay the course, but get back on track doing those things that Christ has asked you to do. Get back in constant fellowship with Christ so you will know immediately if you have stepped wrong. And then, take His Hand and allow Him to help you up. He doesn’t ever condemn us, how can He when He loves us so much? We can never go to places too far away, as no matter where we go, there He is.
Stop running, stop moving, and come to Christ. He is reaching our His Hand for you to grab hold of. He wants to set your feet on the right path, but you have to allow Him to establish you and steady your footsteps. Christ wants more for you, so continue to wait upon Him patiently and expectantly… He hears you.
