“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure – pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

Luke 6:38

Christ is faithful, trustworthy, and everyday He shows us His love. He is who He says that He is. We see firsthand His work in our lives and in others as well. Why do we find it so hard to believe His Word?

Timing

The issue lies with the timing of things. We want to see it “NOW” and sometimes there is much that we need to learn in the waiting. Also, we want to try and figure out how our prayer will be answered, in addition, we want to step in and help things along. This is not what God wants or His best for us.

Trust

Trust is to leave it completely in God’s Hands and not think and wonder how this prayer will ever get answered and if it will even get answered by our own time frame. Christ reminds us to do those things that He has asked us to do. We need to believe that He will answer our prayer and we need to step over the line of faith into the knowing that God will and then into expecting it to happen.

Thank God & Give

Let’s thank God for it, because it is already done. We need to continue this walk by stepping and acting in faith. GIVE… a heart after God gives. This is such a loaded word with so many meanings. Give of yourself; your time, your resources, your talents. You will never out give God and His resources are endless. As we give, it will be given to us, poured into our lap with good measure… and running over, with no space left for more.

So, it’s time to step over the faith line and believe.
