And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric], but [they were delivered] in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit [operating through me] and of [His] power [stirring the minds of the listeners and persuading them]
1 Corinthians 2:4
Power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
The power of God is able to be demonstrated through the spirit of God. We need multiple personal experiences with the power of God. Paul is basically saying, I don’t want you to leave my presence and have to depend on what I say to get through life. For your own good and for your own well being, you need to pursue the power and the presence of God for yourself. It’s obvious in my life, Paul said. I obviously have it, but what good is it if I’m here and you’re 90 miles away and you need it?
You need to see and understand that you have the exact same thing I have, Paul was saying. It’s available to you, and the only thing you need to do is ACKNOWLEDGE IT. The power of God is available to you, because when Jesus ascended to be with His Father, He turned to His disciples, and He gave them everything He had been given by the Father.
Why are so many powerless?
How many can say, they’re walking in the fullness of the power of God on a daily basis? Am you seeing Him manifest in you and through you?
We are all in the same place. I’m wanting you to hear that the Holy Spirit is shaking the tree. There is a lot of ripe fruit on the tree, and it will fall if shaken. That’s exactly what the Holy Spirit is doing right now.
