“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.”

Isaiah 43:2

When life and situations get tough, and they constantly do, where do you turn first? Do you panic and worry, getting all worked up and anxious? Or do you come to Jesus trusting and knowing who He says you are? Do you start brainstorming ideas and ways to get out of your predicament, or do you quietly go before Him and seek His wisdom?

You may wonder how this happened and how you got into this mess, but did you seek Christ with each and every step? Or did you move forward on the notion that this was what needs to happen or where I need to go because it makes the most sense in your mind?

Jesus knows what you are going through and He has already promised to be with you and to see you through unharmed. Dive deeper, He wants more of you. He desires for you to trust Him completely and to believe what His Word says… not just parts of His Word, but ALL OF IT. This is how your faith will grow.

So, sit up straight, close your eyes, take a deep breath through your nose and exhale, leaving all of your concerns and burdens at the foot of the cross. AND, don’t pick them up again, leave them there for Jesus to carry.
