The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Job 42:10

There’s much to be said about not giving in to self pity. Everything is not always about us, even though it may feel like it. In order to climb out of the pit of darkness, you first must make a decision to do so. Then you must stand by that decision and continue moving forward. Getting out of our head and not thinking about ourselves will definitely help us to move in the right direction.

We are not the only one in this world who needs Jesus. So, we must come out of ourselves and seek Him. Be there for others and pray for their needs. When we take our eyes off of ourselves, we will begin to see differently. God’s time-frame doesn’t remain prominent, because it is no longer the focus. We must grow in strength and we can do this by being the strength for someone else.

Watch how Jesus will work in our lives, if only we would let Him. So start helping and praying for others, our friends, and even those whom may irritate us… and watch how Jesus will bless us.
