John 3:16 declares that God is a lover. Many people think God is angry and ready to punish our every wrong doing. We view God as a God of wrath because we look at Him through our humanness rather than His holiness. God is not a tyrant or a cosmic killjoy. He’s not an angry parent waiting to beat us. God is love and all He does comes from who He is, pure and unconditional love. God is the source of all love. Breathe and rest in knowing that you are truly, deeply loved.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
