Why are you in despair, O my soul? Why have you become restless and disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
Psalm 42:11
Sometimes we get ourselves into a place … and we don’t know how or why. All of a sudden God gives us a verse that we did not know would resonate with us. It’s difficult when we don’t know what to speak and say to God and when we second guess His Voice. This is not at all what Jesus desires.
All too often we put too much emphasis and focus on our problems and issues rather than giving them over to Jesus. We wonder how long and when these issues will end for us, when Jesus just wants us to stop. He wants us to stop, be quiet and look heavenward. He hears us, even when we wonder how we can let go when the issue is right here in front of us and we can’t get it out of our face.
This is how we fight our battles… we praise God, we thank Him and we get on our knees. We keep pressing forward and we don’t ever give in. Faith is trusting and believing that Jesus will come through in the timing that He knows is best. Be reminded of who you are and stand tall and strong. Don’t buckle under the pressure and know that some things come about to cause us to stop moving forward on the purpose and calling that God has placed on our lives.
We need to do the thing that Jesus has asked. Fight through this time. Hope in Father and wait expectantly for Him. Once we fight through and it’s behind us, we will see how far we have come and how much we have grown. We will see the fruit of the work that was done in us.
