“Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Nevertheless do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Luke 10:19-20

As God’s son and daughter you have certain rights and privileges. Everything He has is ours. And as an heir, we have His Authority and we go in His Name. This is not to be taken lightly and we are not to forget where our authority comes from. We must stay in complete and constant fellowship with Christ. This is so that we don’t get drawn by the enemy who wants to pull us off course.

We must focus so that we hear and always know Christ’s Voice. Listen closely to Him and choose to obey. We have everything we need available to us, it’s all a matter of how we exercise our faith and how we listen to His direction. Listen carefully… it’s more than just our “doing” for Christ, but it’s our relationship with Him. This is where the battles are won and lost. We need to come close and draw upon Christ before we can go before the world.

Christ is where we find our strength and direction. He will lead and guide our steps and we can then rejoice because we know we are following His Plan for our lives. Remember, it is not our successful service for Christ, but our right relationship with Him that matters most.
