It may be a harsh awakening, but nonetheless true, that faith that does nothing is worth nothing. If you truly believe in something, you’ll act on it. If you never act on what you believe, you’re not in faith at all, but rather are in presumption.
Remember the story of the four men who brought their friend to Jesus and could not get into the house where He was ministering? They tore a hole in the roof of the house and dropped their friend through the roof to get him in front of Jesus (Mark 2:1-5).
Vs. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
How did Jesus see their faith? They DID something. These men must have been fully persuaded that if they got their friend in front of Jesus, something would happen. Their faith was demonstrated in what they did.
